Schoolgirl, 11, diagnosed with 'rare disease' following routine dentist appointment
A schoolgirl was rushed to hospital following a routine dentist check up, where she was diagnosed with a 'rare disease.'
Millie was sent to Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool for further tests, which revealed a mass in her jaw. She was soon diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that causes inflammation of the bone, reports the Liverpool ECHO.Six months on and medication is helping, but Millie is still under the care of Alder Hey and needs a full body MRI to ensure it is not showing anywhere else. But selfless Millie wanted to give back to the hospital and other sick children.
