From putting “boots on the moon” to exploring a digital afterlife, producer Greg Daniels says he is sounding warning notes about the future with his new Amazon and Netflix shows
Comedies with mundane settings were a specialty for TV writer and producer Greg Daniels, who helped create the cubicle politics of “The Office,” and the small-town doings of “Parks and Recreation” and “King of the Hill.”
But in his newest shows—two that are out this month—Mr. Daniels uses high-concept settings in the near future to sharpen his satire.
