Scooter’s Coffee, a national chain known for its drive-thru only design, is eyeing a location at Naperville’s High Grove Plaza while Kingdom Martial Arts wants to move into a building on South Washington Street.
A new spot to score some quick, convenient coffee in Naperville is one step closer to setting up shop after passing through the city’s planning and zoning commission last week without a hitch. Scooter’s Coffee, a national chain known for its drive-thru-only setup, is eyeing a location at Naperville’s High Grove Plaza shopping center, located on the east side of Route 59 at 1931 Glacier Park Ave. More precisely, Scooter’s is interested using part of the center’s parking lot.
, or KLOA, to evaluate parking demand and availability. The firm found that High Grove wouldn’t be strapped for parking, even if Scooter’s moves in. The lot is currently shared by Urban Air Adventure Park, Marshalls, On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina and the Arthur Murray Dance Center. There’s also a new development under construction — a 3,230–square-foot Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, a fast-food restaurant that received city approval earlier this year.
