Ahead of the start of winter, a new list of the best spa hotels across the country 'for a weekend of wellness' has been published by The Telegraph, with two Scottish spots featured.
As we approach the end of autumn and the start of winter, now is the perfect time to book a relaxing staycation. With the festive season being as stressful as it is, it is a good idea to get away from all of the hustle and bustle for a night or two.
The spa at The Gleneagles Hotel was singled out by The Telegraph for its facilities and treatments. It features a thermal suite and a beauty lodge, as well as various "superb relaxation areas". Elsewhere, The Pavilions and Fletchers Cottage Spa is situated within Archerfield House in East Lothian. It has both a day spa and a residential spa that offer a wide range of rejuvenating treatments.
