The national forecaster has issued an update on the latest rain warning, with its affected area now extended further afield.
Scotland's rainy weather set to continue into Monday evening in southwestern parts after a yellow weather warning predicted heavy rains that battered much of the country throughout the night.
The warning, which began at 6pm on Sunday, August 4 is set to last until midnight. Originally focused across eastern Dumfries and Galloway it has now extended into southwest borders. The Met Office has advised to stay up to date with the weather forecast in your area as the weather warnings may change quickly and to amend travel plans if necessary as roads and public transport may be disrupted. Flooding is also a possibility as well as power cuts with homeowners urged to create a plan for these two scenarios.
