A passerby said they heard 'a loud smash of glass' before seeing the truck drive off
A bus stop in the heart of Edinburgh has been flattened after a lorry driver reportedly reversed directly over it as he completed a three-point turn.
A resident who was passing by when the incident occurred told our sister site: "I heard a loud smash of glass. I saw a lorry doing a three-point manoeuvre here at the bus stop. There was a forklift at the back and he didn't realise that he hit the bus stop and he just drove off."
