James Clydesdale has been badly affected as a result of being able to access the internal part of a mechanical mixer in August 2021 at Kerry Ingredients UK Ltd.
A Hillington business could be facing a hefty fine after admitting it was to blame for a member of staff losing four fingers in a workplace accident.
Procurator fiscal depute Mr Spade told Paisley Sheriff Court: “On August 4, 2021, Mr Clydesdale was working on machine number 11 in the mixing cell which is an area of the factory where machinery is located to produce gravy mix. The dedicated team of experienced journalists, responsible for the publication of the award-winning Express, will focus on breaking news, day and night, across Renfrewshire’s towns and villages.
Mr Spade added: “Mr Clydesdale was able to access the inside of the mixing machine and, when he did so, this resulted in the amputation of four fingers when they came into contact with the rotating blades.
