Scott Mills has struggled with his weight for most of his life, but after seeing a photo of himself lounging on the beach, the BBC Radio 2 DJ decided to make a drastic change
Despite being a familiar voice during weekday afternoons on the station, as well as presenting shows including the Eurovision Song Contest, 51 year old Scott has often struggled with his self-image, particularly when it came to his size.
In just 25 weeks, Scott impressively dropped three stone, back in 2019. Opening up about his past, Scott shared: "I've always been quite big. I was a fairly chubby teenager then into my early twenties. Despite a routine of regular exercise and hitting the gym two or three times a week, Scott realised it wasn't cutting it after seeing those photos, admitting: "But then I saw these pictures, I thought 'that's not enough'. I needed something much more drastic and intense and I like to set myself challenges and take myself out of my comfort zone, and that's definitely what I did.
