The man behind arguably the song of the summer, No Scotland, No Party revealed how Maradonna inspired its creation and what it was like to see thousands of fans singing it at the Euros.
Described as the "tune of the year", No Scotland No Party was the biggest hit of the Euros tournament in Germany with fans from all over Europe singing it in their tens of thousands.
"At the time, I just had the idea, that if we qualified for the next tournament, it would be a great song to rework, the idea was there but then when Scotland qualified for Germany, I thought let's get to work." After seeing fans off at Glasgow Airport with the now famous Euro 2024 anthem on the Thursday , Nick stated that the Friday, the day Scotland played the opener against Germany, was "just amazing".
"It was everywhere, it went to no.1 in the Spotify viral charts in the UK and was charting all over Europe. Nick joked that when they were in pubs and clubs the tune would often be blaring out on the speakers, so much that he thought his friends ended up sick of it. As to what's next, Nick confirmed that many people have asked if he'll be writing a song if we qualify for the World Cup but for now he's working on his own album.
