Kallum Radford is accused of hiding the car on a friend's driveway
The man accused of helping Ashley Dale's killers hide a car used in her shooting claims he was approached "randomly" by two "Scousers".
In the interview, he claimed the two men, who he did not recognise, asked him if he knew of somewhere they could store a car because someone was threatening to smash it up "round ours". "They were Scousers so it was meaning Liverpool. I said I’d ask about. They said 'there’s money there for you lad'. I asked how much but they didn’t tell me how much. I got on the phone to my friend. Them lads jumped into a car and drove off."
Jurors previously heard that James Witham had kicked down the door of her house, before entering and shooting her with a Skorpion submachine gun. The 41-year-old is expected to claim he did not see or hear Ashley and was instead attempting to "send a message" to her boyfriend Lee Harrison, who was not present at the time.
