Following countless requests from the community, Sea of Thieves is finally getting private PvE servers called Safer Seas with Season 10.
Coming in December as part of Sea of Thieves Season 10, Safer Seas allows players to sail the high seas on their own or with their crew in a private game session, which means you'll no longer have to worry about other crews trying to scuttle your ship and steal your hard-earned treasure — it could even make unlocking someThese new PvE servers will soon be found in Adventure mode under Safer Seas, while the classic experience will be renamed High Seasons.
Other key features that do not feature in Safer Seas are Hourglass Faction Battles, the ability to purchase and captain your own ship, sail as part of a guild , sail as a Trading Company Emissary, live events such as Gold and Glory, and earn reputation for The Reaper's Bones. With the launch of Season 10 on October 19, Sea of Thieves is adding Guilds, which brings a new shared progression track to the game. Captains can form their own Guild by pledging an owned ship. Up to 24 players can join a Guild and use other members' ships, complete with all their cosmetics, and progress Ship Milestones even if the ship's owner isn't online. By doing this, players will help contribute to a shared Guild Reputation system, where new cosmetics can be unlocked.
In November, a new competitive voyage called the Skull of the Siren Song is coming to Sea of Thieves. This voyage will be offered to all players on a server simultaneously, and those who accept it will be given two shared treasure maps that point them to the same chest and key needed to obtain the skull. Players must race across the sea to be the first to grab both the chest and the key and get the skull.
