This weekend Clinton warned 2020 candidates the election could be 'stolen' from them.
Former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer has lashed out against Hillary Clinton after the former secretary of state suggested the 2016 presidential election was “stolen” from her.
Speaking at the Los Angeles stop of her “Evening with the Clintons” tour with husband and former President Bill Clinton, she added that Russia still poses a “very significant counterintelligence threat” and that Moscow's efforts to meddle in American elections have continued “pretty much unabated” via “social media, fake news” and “propaganda.”
Spicer's time as White House press secretary was characterized by rambling, confusing press briefings which made him a figure of mockery in the media. He resigned from the role in July 2017 when Anthony Scaramucci was made Trump’s new communications director. Spicer was replaced by his then-deputy Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
