BREAKING: Treasury Sec. Mnuchin threatens Turkey with sanctions over invasion of northern Syria, but adds that 'we hope we don’t have to use them.'
The Trump admin. announced possible sanctions against Turkey that are not yet activated, Secretary Mnuchin said in a White House press briefing on Friday.
Mnuchin added the "president is concerned about the ongoing military offensive" and “these are very powerful sanctions, we hope we don’t have to use them, but we can shut down the Turkish economy.”
