For his spot near the intersection of Tuleta and Brackenridge Drive, he cuts the grass himself to make a previously unavailable area perfect for him, his children, nieces, grandkids and pets.
Daniel Garza greets the train, too, from his post behind the barbecue. They usually bring more than two grills, said Maria Garza, but their truck broke down, limiting their resources. Still, they had meat, Modelos and more, she said. With an Easter egg piñata, a Spurs flag and fajita ingredients on the way, nothing could get in the way of the San Antonio born-and-raised family’s celebration — except the lack of porta potties.
