Get the picture. Sally’s friend is having major problems communicating. She is mostly in bed, a feeding tube attached. It’s easy to take one look and think, “There’s nothing I can do.” I have a friend who visits her mother in a nursing home. Her mother had a major stroke years ago. There is nothing physically to “fix.” But the daughter has learned to show up when the mother’s favorite TV shows were on. They have fun enjoying them together.
