The singer turned 28 on July 22, and announced the Rare Impact Fund, an effort increase access to mental health services.will put 1% of sales toward the fund, along with money raised by partners, with hopes of raising $100 million over the next 10 years to provide mental health services for those who need it most.
"I’m so grateful to be surrounded by a team that’s helped make the Rare Impact Fund a reality," Selena said in a press release. "Since the brand’s inception, we wanted to find a way to give back to our community and further support people who needed access to mental health services, which have had a profound impact on my life. Rare Beauty is focused on helping people feel more connected to one another and less alone in the world.
Along with the fund, Selena's company also started the Rare Beauty Mental Health Council, comprised of experts and advocates to “guide the company’s strategy to ensure maximum impact,” according to the press release.
