The U.S. senator was in Lebanon to tout a bill that would provide Medicaid coverage to every child.
Sen. Bob Casey visited Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon on Monday to tout his bill calling for Medicaid coverage for every child. Casey is currently seeking a fourth term in Congress. His likely Republican opponent, businessman and veteran Dave McCormick, was campaigning in southeastern Pennsylvania. Casey says he expects a tough, close race.
Casey told News 8 he supports what he calls 'common-sense gun legislation' in the wake of the mass shooting in Maine. He supports an assault weapons ban and expanding background checks by closing loopholes in an effort to keep guns out of the hands of those who could pose a danger to themselves or others.Casey says he opposes efforts to separate funding for Israel and Ukraine, seeking to keep it together in one bill. Casey also says it's time to raise the minimum wage.
