Crow’s team has argued the committee is seeking information going back 25 years. They say that’s unreasonable and indicates the inquiry’s purpose is intended to harass and embarrass Thomas rather than help craft legislation. “Mr. Crow, a private citizen, won’t be bullied by threats from politicians,” the statement from Crow’s office said. “However, as previously conveyed to the Committee, we remain committed to respectful cooperation and a fair resolution.”
