TWO sitting SNP MPs will face off in a battle to claim a Glasgow seat, it has emerged.
But one SNP MP played down talk of a rift within the group, saying Thewliss was the subject of “forces beyond her control”.He said: “I’ve been the MP for Glasgow East since 2017 and 65% of the current electorate I’ve got makes up the new seat., fighting plans for increased capacity at the landfill in the east end and getting on with the job.”, Linden described Thewliss as his"best friend", after he left a role in her office to become an MP himself.
He said: “It’s one of the privileges of my life to say I have been working with my best friend for the past two years. We’ve known each other for a decade and there’s something about us being together and bouncing ideas off each other.
