In the face of protests, Serb authorities protect the mural of former Bosnian Serb military chief and war criminal Ratko Mladic

A motorbike passes a mural depicting the maps of Bosnia, North Macedonia, Kosovo, and Montenegro painted in the colors of the Serbian flag, in Belgrade on August 26.

A video posted on an Instagram profile showed plainclothes men who identified themselves as police officers, whisking away Aida Corovic, after she threw eggs at the wall painting depicting Mladic saluting and wearing his officer's cap. Corovic's detention prompted protests by dozens of opposition and leftist activists and riot police cordoned off the area near the building with the mural.

"Henceforth, identification of all persons regardless of their views about the mural depicting Gen. Ratko Mladic is being made," it said.
