Sergio Busquets and his teammates blocked one former Liverpool player from joining Barcelona, it has been claimed.
The Spaniard was eager to strengthen his squad by signing a player who knew Barcelona well hadn't been playing regularly with his club.However, Busquets, who was captain of Barca at the time, vetoed the transfer, informing Xavi that he had had"led a messy life" when he played for the La Liga side previously.
"The fact of being able to train with someone like him always gives you a lot as a player and I'm sure it's useful for what's to come because you learn a lot from him."
