Seth Meyers called Trump a 'one-man super spreader' after the president's COVID-19 diagnosis
segment Thursday night as he unpacked the recent coronavirus-related events involving President Donald Trump and the White House.
For his first interview since his positive diagnosis, Trump spoke with Fox Business' Maria Bartiromo Thursday for what Meyers called Trump's"televised therapy sessions." The late-night host criticized the interview, in which Trump made sporadic comments about the election and his health, and equated it to"two crazy people yelling over the phone like divorced parents face-timing each other on Thanksgiving.
"Listening to one of these interviews with Trump is like taking a bunch of your racist uncle's Facebook posts and putting them in a blender," Meyers said."He sounds like he's writing a YA novel after burying his face in a mound of Adderall." After Trump and First Lady Melania Trump tested positive for COVID-19, Meyers acknowledged that the White House has become a"literal disaster zone" and hotspot for outbreaks, resulting in over 34 people having now tested positive for COVID-19."Right now the White House is more deserted than a CVS at midnight," the late-night host joked.
