The northbound stretch of the road will be closed nightly between Ayr and Monkton, with diversions in place.
New works announced by Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland , will see a seven-mile stretch of the trunk road closed overnight between Ayr and Monkton from Wednesday, January 15.
The works coincide with resurfacing at the Bankfield and Holmston Roundabouts and road safety improvements at Doonholm Road and Corton Road. “This work will require total overnight closures of the A77 northbound between Bankfield Roundabout and Dutchhouse Roundabout, as well as offside lane closures on both carriageways.
