The Lakewood Fire Department got a call about the fire just after 8:45 a.m. at a seven-story high rise on Warren Road near Hilliard Road, assistant fire Chief Darren Collins said. Collins could not give details on the injuries of the residents who were hospitalized. No firefighters were injured in the incident, he said.
