After an outbreak of tornadoes on Friday night in multiple states across the U.S., severe weather was forecast to continue through the weekend. Wind warnings were in effect.
Following a deadly outbreak of tornadoes in the South and Midwest on Friday,The National Weather Service warned of the powerful storm tracking eastward, bring the threat of thunderstorms and strong winds for the Ohio Valley, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.
"Winds of this magnitude are likely to blow down numerous trees and potentially lead to widespread power outages," it warned. High wind warnings and advisories were in effect. Damage to homes on E. Kiehl Ave. can be seen after a tornado caused extensive damage in the area Friday, March 31, 2023, in Sherwood, Arkansas.were related to the deaths of at least 11 people in multiple states. Dozens more were injured.
