San Francisco is a pretty dramatic outlier when compared with the rest of its Bay Area counterparts

Newsom had argued that Prop. 30, which would benefit Lyft, was"fiscally irresponsible and puts the profits of a single corporation ahead of the welfare of the entire state."according to California campaign finance filings reviewed by SFGATE. Newsom’s ballot measure committee also lodged a separate $250,000 donation against Prop. 30 on Oct. 31, bringing his total opposition to $1,867,216.88. The only group that had spent more against Prop. 30 was the California Teachers Association Issues political action committee.
Environmental groups were annoyed with Newsom, arguing it’s irrelevant whether or not a corporation like Lyft might disproportionately benefit from the measure.
