Every year, Eater, a food publication with hubs in major cities around the country, publishes a list of what it deems the best new restaurants in America. This year, a San Francisco Taiwan-inspired restaurant has made the cut. To Eater, “a best new restaurant announces itself as part of the national dining conversation. Each restaurant on this list does more than offer an exceptional meal, it also reflects something larger about the way we eat.
The frequently changing menu is inspired by the couple’s world travels but is rooted in Chris’ Taiwanese American heritage. Some items that are featured on the restaurant’s Instagram include a ginger, scallion and butter black cod with Saltspring mussels, braised pork shoulder over barley, and honey walnut shrimp and pork toast, which are available during Sunday brunch. The restaurant also offers a limited delivery menu of bento boxes.
