The versatile Leeds United man was speaking after his side were held to a goalless draw in Saturday's Yorkshire derby
Jamie Shackleton admitted Leeds United had to endure a frustrating afternoon after his side failed to break down a defensive-minded Sheffield Wednesday in Saturday's goalless Yorkshire derby at Elland Road.
Shackleton was one of two changes to Daniel Farke's XI from Portman Road as he replaced the injured Sam Byram, while the Leeds boss named new signings Djed Spence and Glen Kamara on the bench at the end of what had been a hectic week in the transfer window. "It was a very frustrating afternoon," Shackleton told LUTV. "It was a game that we came into like all of the others, we wanted to get three points and to not do so and only come away with one and have the chances that we had to win the game, it's frustrating and a bit disappointing."We kind of expected five a the back and for them to sit in and make it deep, try and make it difficult for us to make chances. They did a good job of that.
"They'll be a few away with national teams, a few players missing, but the ones that are here, we've definitely got things to work on," Shackleton continued. "It wasn't a perfect performance today. They've caused some problems themselves on the counter and we didn't always control that perfectly like we'd like to, so definitely things to work on. And going the other way, creating and putting away the chances.
