Shamrock Rovers take on Irish Premiership champions Larne on Thursday night in the UEFA Conference League
Stephen Bradley says any arguments about the respective strengths of the leagues north and south of the Irish border won’t be settled by Thursday’s Europa Conference League clash in Windsor Park . A Setanta Cup-style competition, he insisted, would be the only way to compare the League of Ireland and the Irish Premiership.
"Regardless of the result tomorrow night, it’s a one-off game. It’s impossible to judge where both leagues are on one game. “Yes, I think the League of Ireland has more strength and depth, but I think all the Premier Division is full-time. Bradley travels to Irish Premiership games “at least once or twice a month” and is often scouting players there.
