Sheriff's bomb-arson detectives investigating 2 explosions in Vista [Breaking]
Sheriff’s bomb-arson detectives are investigating after two explosions were reported in Vista Sunday night, including one that blew up a mailbox, a sheriff’s official said.
The first explosion was reported around 10:50 p.m. along Matagual Drive east of South Melrose Drive. An unknown device was placed into a mailbox. The explosion blew up the box, said sheriff’s Lt. Ryan Wisniewski.About 20 minutes later, another explosion was heard in the area, although investigators were unable to locate exacly where that explosion occurred.
Sheriff’s bomb-arson detectives are looking into the incidents and the investigation is ongoing, he said.
