A fire led to a computer crash at L.A. County's largest jail, preventing the release of an unknown number of people who should have been set free over the weekend, sparking an outcry from lawyers and family members.
The computer system at Los Angeles County’s largest jail crashed over the weekend, causing an unknown number of people to be kept behind bars for days longer than they should have been.
