Shortly after 7.25am, a Traffcom update warned drivers that in order to accommodate Scottish Water’s urgent water main repairs Crow Road at Great Western Road has been closed in a southbound direction for approximately 400m.
Now, a reported additional water burst means that Bearsden Road has been reduced to one lane on its approach to Anniesland Cross. Road users are advised to approach the Anniesland Cross Junction with caution due to the amount of surface water in the area. Shocking images and videos shared with the Glasgow Times have shown the extent of flooding with a large area completely submerged.
