TORONTO — The Angels’ 4-1 loss in to the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday night ended in disturbing fashion.
Ohtani had hit his 39th homer and singled earlier in the game. In his previous at-bat in the eighth inning, he hit a routine groundout. Because the Angels were in range of a playoff spot, they swung a deal this week with the Chicago White Sox to bring in Giolito and reliever Reynaldo López.
