Evidence shows at least five of those shots struck the neighboring home to which Tolle fled after escaping Boisey’s assault.when police, after raiding his home, found him asleep in a bed.

If Boisey had only wanted to scare or hurt Tolle, Perchinski said, “mission accomplished” when he broke through locked doors, shot at her cellphone, and ripped away a blanket Tolle had pulled over her face and stated, according to Tolle, “you’re going to look at me while I kill you.” Tolle told police she had received a text message from Boisey that because she had called the police on him earlier that evening “the relationship was over.” She went to bed and locked the hallway door when she was awakened by Boisey kicking down the door.

When she got to her neighbor’s house, Boisey began to shoot several rounds at the house, according to the complaint. At that point, 12:37 a.m.,Officer Cody Vickroy arrived and met with Tolle at the neighbor’s home when shots rang out from the residence Boisey was in, prompting Vickroy, Tolle, and the neighbor to take cover, according to the complaint.
