Four people are being treated for gunshot injuries after the shooting in Hackney, east London A child is in a serious condition and three adults have been injured in a shooting near a restaurant in Hackney.
The four victims were taken to an east London hospital with “gunshot injuries” after the shooting on Kingsland High Street, Metropolitan Police said. Officers said they were called to the scene at around 9.20pm on Wednesday with specialist firearms officers attending.Deputy assistant commissioner Matt Ward said: “We know Londoners will be shocked by what has taken place tonight.“Fast-moving enquiries are underway and we will update as soon as we can. If anyone has any information, please contact us.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said it had treated the three adults and the child at the scene before taking them to a major trauma centre.: “I arrived maybe about four, five, six minutes after it happened. “People were just silent, like someone was trying to help… people just seemed stunned and trying to work out what was happening.”
