Both males were seriously wounded in the shootings Wednesday, Akron police say.
AKRON, Ohio — Two males were seriously wounded in separate shootings Wednesday, including a 16-year-old, police say.
The male tells police he was outside the apartment when at least two suspects pulled up in a vehicle. One of the suspects got out of the vehicle and confronted the victim, then opened fire, hitting the man in the arm and leg. The suspect got back into the vehicle and left the scene. The second shooting was reported at about 10:50 p.m. on the 2200 block of 26th Street S.W. in the Kenmore neighborhood. Police say the 16-year-old victim and another male went to a residence on Louisiana Avenue and were involved in a dispute with someone who lived at the home.
The teen reportedly is in serious but stable condition at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center. A handgun was found at the scene.
