Scattered showers continue this morning ahead of a cold front. In the wake of the system, chillier, below average temperatures, and gusty winds follow.
Potent and deepening upper-level trough pushes a cold front across the Lower Susquehanna Valley later this morning. Scattered showers will taper and end by dawn in our western counties, but linger longer, east of the river, until early afternoon. Skies brighten up behind the passage of the cold front. Expect the winds to increase, and temperatures to stay on the cool side, in the mid 60s. Northwest winds will gust, at times, 20-25 miles per hour.Expect partly cloudy skies tonight.
The upper trough keeps the threat of stray showers around too. With the upper-low positioned north, we continue see plenty of cloud cover, plus, there is the potential for spotty showers, as a clipper slides by south of the area Monday. Readings are still quite cool in the upper 50s to lower 60s after crisp morning lows in the low to mid 40s. While still below average, temperatures slightly moderate midweek under a little more sunshine.
