In the second, the Nanooks’ penalty kill parried much of an offensive onslaught from the Sharks but couldn’t hold true for the whole power play, with Long Island’s Isaiah Fox pushing home a scrappy goal to go two up. The UAF offense had a sluggish outing, finishing the game with 19 shots to Long Island’s 29, and a late empty-netter capped off UAF’s bumpy return to the Carlson Center to seal the game at 4-0.UAF halted its four-game losing streak with the dominant performance, led by a Lassi Lehti’s shutout showing in the goalie’s first ever start in net.On the offensive side of the ice, it was Cade Neilson who came up big for the Nanooks.
