The 44-year-old singer said,"I actually adopted two sons last year. They were both 18 — they’re both 19-years-old now. They were aging out of the foster care system. Yeah, and I love them." According to, when young people age out of the system at 18 or 21-years-old, they are often"ill-equipped to navigate a successful path to a self-sufficient and independent adulthood.
Though she didn't reveal any other information about her expanded family -- a spokesperson for the singer could not be reached for additional information at press time about the adoption -- Sia said they're all muddling through the pandemic lockdown together and doing their best to stay positive. "They are both finding it pretty difficult, one more so than the other," she said.
