In a statement posted on Instagram, May expressed disappointment that the RSPCA had not taken sufficient action to address these issues despite previous reports.

This comes as an open letter was written to the charity, with signatories such as Ricky Gervais, Joanna Lumley, and Miriam Margoyles, to drop the Assured scheme.
