Six people were injured in the collapse, two with life-threatening injuries, according to Aurora Fire. They were transported to local hospitals for treatment. The incident occurred around 9:50 a.m.
A guest at the resort, Jenn Spykerman, tweeted that her son Trevor narrowly missed getting injured when “The HVAC system came crashing down on guest in the pool area this morning.” There were 50-100 people in the area at the time of the collapse. — Jenn Spykerman May 6, 2023 Trevor told Denver7 that he witnessed"stuff" leaking from the pipes before the collapse.
