Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign used up almost all its remaining cash reserves during the first half of 2022, Federal Election Commission filings show.
The failed Democratic presidential candidate has used her leftover campaign funds to provide a steady stream of payments to some of her top aides since former President Donald Trump's upset victory nearly six years ago. The Clinton campaign has spent about $50,000 every quarter since the start of 2019, most of which has gone toward consulting and storage costs.
Clinton's former IT director, Anders Williams, has received $295,000 from the campaign since the start of 2017 for"technology consulting," and the campaign also paid former Chief Information Officer Shane Hable $76,000 during the same time frame for"technology consulting" and"payroll." It's unclear why the Clinton campaign continues to pay considerable amounts for technology consulting services and storage fees well into 2022. The Clinton campaign did not return a request for comment.
