A sleeping child was killed in what Birmingham police say was an early morning drive-by shooting. Firefighters pronounced the child dead on the scene. No suspects are currently in custody.
A sleeping child was killed in what Birmingham police say was an early morning drive-by shooting.
Officers were called to the scene on a report of a person shot, Law said. When officers arrived, they were told by family members that a girl was sleeping in bed and had been struck by gunfire. Anyone with information is asked to call Birmingham homicide detectives at 205-254-1764 or Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.
