A once-beloved Nottingham social club could soon be demolished in a bid to create more housing for vulnerable people. under new plans submitted to Nottingham City Council .
Hockley Developments Ltd now want to reduce the disused building to rubble and build a 12 one-bed flats in its place, along with communal spaces and areas for the staff who would support residents. The developer plans to build one apartment block with cycle storage, a secure bin store as well as a private outside courtyard to the rear."These dwellings are well designed to create a contemporary and vibrant place to enjoy," the firm explained in a planning document.
