, in which Priscilla Presley takes center stage in her love story with Elvis . The film, out in October from A24, just released its first trailer, which you can watch above.
Coppola, knowing what the audience is expecting from both filmmaker and subject, starts with the signifiers: the polished toes on a 60s era shag rug, the winged eyeliner, the false eyelashes made of real hair. But you don’t need the ominous score from Phoenix to tell you there is very much more here than meets the eye.
