Cheyenne Knight will play against Europe’s best in the international competition between top pros from both sides of the Atlantic.
All-American Cheyenne Knight was chosen by captain Stacy Lewis on Monday to play for the U.S. team in next month’s Solheim Cup.
The biennial team competition features 12 European players from the Ladies European Tour and 12 U.S. players from the LPGA Tour.Lewis included Knight among her three captain’s picks for the team, with Ally Ewing and Angel Yin also joining the nine automatic qualifiers., “just growing up watching the Solheim Cup, watching Stacy and Angela , fellow Texans, and just hoping I could be there one day, and I’m just so excited to represent my country.
“I just can’t dream of anything better. It’s been a huge goal of mine. First time to do it and can’t wait to represent Team USA.” The LPGA introduced the 12 U.S. team members with a video featuring celebrities. Alabama football coach Nick Saban announced Knight, giving the former Crimson Tide golfer and her team a “Roll, Tide” and “Go, USA.”We asked some friends to help announce the 12 players who will be teeing it up next month in Spain for the U.S.A.! 🤩
