Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Sonic the Hedgehog 3 director Jeff Fowler has confirmed filming has officially wrapped. Based on SEGA’s hit video game franchise, Fowler first brought the lightning-fast, anthropomorphic hedgehog to life in 2020’s Sonic the Hedgehog.
In the image, the director can be seen holding a giant clapperboard featuring the character Shadow, who was first teased in the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 post-credits scene. This latest announcement also follows on from franchise star James Marsden recently confirming that principal photography has concluded.
Originally created in the early 1990s as an answer to Nintendo’s best-selling Super Mario Bros. franchise, the original Sonic the Hedgehog game would lay the groundwork for what would eventually become an expansive game franchise that would introduce an enormous cast of characters over dozens of titles.
