Sotheby's joins the NFT craze by auctioning off 3AC's digital art collection, including rare CryptoPunks and Autoglyphs. Will we see another multi-million dollar sale?
Sotheby’s auction house said it will be selling off a digital artwork collection formed as part of collapsed crypto hedge fund Three Arrows Capital, or 3AC.
In an April 19 announcement, Sotheby’s said it would auction off nonfungible token, or NFT, artwork assembled as part of 3AC’s digital portfolio in 2021.

T. rex skeleton expected to fetch millions at Zurich auctionA giant Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton that’s been dug up from three sites in the United States is going up for auction in Zurich. It's a first sale of its kind in Europe. The 293 T. rex bones were assembled into a growling 38-foot-long and 12.8-foot-high posture. The skeleton is expected to fetch $5.6 to $8.9 million when it goes under the hammer at a Zurich auction house on Tuesday. Promoters say the composite T. rex dubbed “Trinity” was built from specimens retrieved from three sites in Montana and Wyoming. According to the Zoller auction house, the areas were also the source of two other T. rex skeletons that were auctioned off.
