Soul legend Syl Johnson who was heavily sampled in hip-hop dies aged 85.
The singer was best known for his 1967 hit Different Strokes, but was also heavily featured in Hip-Hop tunes over the years.The family statement read: "It is with extreme sadness that our family announces the passing of Soul & Blues Hall of Fame legend Syl Johnson .
