Projects in Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley and Rotherham have been approved.
Sheffield Council plans to install cycle lanes and improved footpaths at Kelham, Neepsend and West BarTransport schemes in South Yorkshire have been granted £44m to move ahead.
Mayor Oliver Coppard said the projects would make the region "a better place to live, work and invest". Plans to change the road layout at Neepsend and Kelham in Sheffield to create more space for cyclists and pedestrians were also granted funding.
